A world leader in the development and manufacture of high-quality, reliable power conversion products seeks a Outside Sales Rep in Bannockburn, IL.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

Sales Representative acts as contact window for customers and is responsible for overall sales activities for outside-sales, account servicing, maintenance, retention, business expansions of existing customers while exploring and developing new business opportunities (new customers, new products, and new market).

Lead Professional Possess and apply broad experience and expertise. Lead the daily operation of department as well as business development initiatives including business growth, new market/ client segment identification, new products development, and new projects start up etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs account management functions to achieve sales goal and growth, and develops and executes account retention strategies of the Company while performing marketing and new business development activities.

Manages and grows existing accounts/customers
● Builds and maintains good relationships with assigned customers through periodical contacts of outside-sales activities by phone, e-mail, web meeting or physical visit.
● Establishes sufficient and periodical on-site presence to be known by key decision makers of customers (e.g. purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and management).
● Responsible for business growth of assigned customers while exploring their needs and actively seeking opportunities for another business.
● Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements and follows up on quotations submitted to customers.
● Contacts customers to discuss their needs and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products or services of Shindengen.
● Coordinates company technical engineering support and services to satisfy customers' needs.
● Supports building sales plans and pricing strategies based on expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products related to assigned accounts.

● Generates and maintains a credible forecast for the assigned accounts and territories or segments. Provides the information to management on a regular basis.
● Ensures that customers are fully satisfied with all aspects of our products and services.
● Reports market and customer-related information acquired through communication of daily activities to management on all such occasions.
● Plans and schedule to visit assigned customers as sales contact window of the Company to generate and expand business opportunities to market our products and conducts in-depth presentations and dialogues.
● Execute research of customers’ needs and requirements for products and specifications; and reports such information to the management.
Marketing and Business Planning
● Attends trade shows and other events to grow the Company’s business and represents the Company in any occasions as needed.
● Coordinates or participates in promotional activities with parent company and other local subsidiaries, including trade shows, conventions, and exhibition to market products.
● Assists in the development of business strategies including primary market research, competitive analysis, fit analysis (how would a particular business segment fit with Shindengen’s existing products and future goals), and needs assessment.
Other responsibilities and expectation
● Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and keeping abreast of industry trends and related compliance issues within the area of responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (Guideline) 5-8 years of experience with sales, account management, and technical products or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  In-depth working knowledge of sales techniques and power conversion products (e.g., power semiconductors, automotive electronics).
● Strong analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information and to develop sales & marketing strategies.
● Ability to stay on tasks and follows-through the assignments until the completion without close supervision.
● Well-developed ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients.
● Computer: Basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
● Language: Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
● Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license

Work Environment and Physical Demands
● Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
● Work requires frequent business travel (both domestic and international) as required by the Company.
● Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing, walking, grasping, and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds.
● May be required to work beyond normal business hours as required by the Company.
